Donald at the Bat – Day 1181, Trump Throws a Tantrum

Day 1181, Trump Throws a Tantrum

The Donald threw a tantrum yesterday;

Reporters listened to him bleat and bray.

The press is an unruly, hostile mob,

Denying Trump the praise he craves each day.

The press is an unruly, hostile mob,

Reporting criticisms of his job.

If governors give insufficient praise,

Trump stops aid to their states and makes them sob.

If governors give insufficient praise,

Or, God forbid, state some inartful phrase,

If there’s the slightest prick of Donald’s skin,

Then they will feel the hell that Trump can raise.

If there’s the slightest prick of Donald’s skin,

Report of crime, incompetence, or sin,

Or hint at Donald’s fragile mental state,

He pops like a balloon poked with a pin.

 If one should hint at Donald’s mental state,

The narcissism no one can ablate,

He’ll rant and cry, “Fake News!” (and prove their case.)

That’s standard for the narcissistic trait.

Trump rants and cries, “Fake News!” and proves the case

To everyone except his stubborn base.

Like Trump, they disregard most evidence;

The truth is just impossible to face.

Like Trump, his base denies the evidence

That he’s the worst of all our presidents.

His base is an unruly, hostile mob;

Or else, they’re sycophants like Michael Pence.
