October 1, 700,000 Dead

We’ve piled up seven hundred thousand dead,

More than the toll of 1918 flu.

We’ve made vaccines; some choose to die instead,

More often in the Red States than the Blue.

Instead of getting shots, why choose to die?

Misinformation on the internet?

The science is quite clear, which some defy.

Defying science is a losing bet.

Trump said to take hydroxychloroquine,

Inject some bleach; shine bright light down your throat;

Don’t wear a mask but take a vitamin;

Death correlates well with the Trumpist vote.

Do these deaths mean there’s still a Civil War,

With Red States as rebellious as before?
