(Sing to “Just a Closer Walk with Thee”) (1)
Though you’re rotten to the core,
You have cash and can raise more.
Donald, I shall be your whore,
And, I’ll seek a photo-op with thee.
Chorus:
Just a photo-op with thee,
Grant it, Donald, is my plea.
Your cult of personality
Means I need a photo-op with thee.
I will kneel and kiss your ring,
Even kiss another thing.
I’ll acknowledge you as king,
Just to have a photo-op with thee.
Chorus:
Just a photo-op with thee,
Grant it, Donald, is my plea.
Your cult of personality
Means I need a photo-op with thee.
You’re someone I should despise;
Your life’s based on fraud and lies.
Biden cut you down to size;
Still, I need a photo-op with thee.
Chorus:
Just a photo-op with thee,
Grant it, Donald, is my plea.
Your cult of personality
Means I need a photo-op with thee.
- “Just a Closer Walk with Thee,” is a classic “Negro spiritual,” that evolved out of American black culture in the 19th We do not know exactly when it began or if there was a specific composer. It appears that the words and melody were first written down by Kenneth Morris in 1940 after hearing a Negro porter sing it at a train station. Morris added some words of his own and published the song that same year. The tune is a standard at New Orleans Jazz funerals in the dirge section of the march.
Imagine Elise Stefanik and Kevin McCarthy singing my lyrics.
