St. Patrick’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, it will be Spring, ere long.

Our throats are guzzling Guinness; in between they sing a song.

As maskless hordes in Florida spread Covid, day and night,

Will we have one more viral surge?  We’ve still not won this fight.

White Christian men refuse vaccine, so Covid replicates.

And, when the virus replicates, we know that it mutates.

Will spike protein mutate so that it sticks to stupid genes?

They say, “You can’t fix stupid,” and for that, we’ve no vaccines.

The viral surge has peaked, declined, and now it has plateaued.

But this plateau is very high and once more could explode.

So, if you like to sing and like to pour the Guinness down,

Then sing and drink while safe at home and do not go downtown.
