January 8, Nobody Likes Ted Cruz

 

Poor Senator Cruz, poor Senator Cruz,

When Ted spoke the truth; Fox News blew a fuse.

It’s almost as bad as spreading Great Pox.  (1)

Cruz had to grovel to Tucker on Fox.

 

When Cruz called 1-6 a terror attack,

It’s as if he had stabbed Trump in the back.

To speak truth of 1-6, Ted joined the foe.

Will watching Ted’s penance set Trump aglow?

 

Cardinal Carlson put Ted Cruz on trial

For telling the truth, both heinous and vile.

The Fox inquisition made Ted repent

And say that the truth was not what he meant.

 

Like Galileo, Ted had to recant,  (2)

Responding to Tucker’s furious rant.

Will castigation keep Ted orthodox,

And keep the true faith and doctrine of Fox?

 

Ted Cruz leads a life of ethical slime,

Instant dislike of Ted simply saves time.

Ted Cruz gets roasted for both truth and lies.

Nobody likes Ted; and won’t ‘til he dies.

 

• Syphilis was the Great Pox, caused by Treponema pallidum. Smallpox was caused by Variola.  Syphilis is now largely controlled by penicillin.  Smallpox was eradicated by vaccination.
• Galileo Galilei was tried by the Roman Inquisition in 1633 for defending Copernicanism, the concept of a heliocentric solar system. He was forced to recant on pain of death and sentenced to house arrest for the last eight years of his life.  Cardinal Bellarmino chaired the panel of judges and, for defending the faith, he was ultimately made a saint.  The Church pardoned Galileo in 1992.
