We’re in a pandemic of Covid 19.

We could have controlled it; we have a vaccine.

But some folks won’t take it; disease marches on,

Now with a new mutant, we call Omicron.

The data are solid, our arguments, strong;

Mutation, selection: the bug understands.

But some people do not; now they’re in God’s hands.

They’re all against science and what Darwin said,

So they’re the ones swelling the ranks of the dead.

They seem to like liars, to whom they defer.

And even when Donald said, “Take the vaccine,”

They turned on their prophet and chose Margie Greene.

Refusing the vaccine, they’re most of who died.

Rejecting good science and experts’ advice,

They won’t change their minds and their lives are the price.
