In the North County Times, August 16, 2001, Jack Donald from Temecula says that “If science is unbiased and if evolution is science, why do evolutionists become so hostile when evidence supporting creation is mentioned? If life is a result of purely naturalistic events and there is no creator, why are evolutionists so emotional about their beliefs?”

To answer Mr. Donald, I would say that evolutionists are not afraid of a Creator (who many of them do not deny, including Darwin himself); they are afraid of Creation Scientists who distort reality by using religion and other myths to prove their point. It is their militant, evangelical ignorance that makes evolutionists hostile. And lastly, evolutionists are not emotional about their beliefs because their ideas are based on natural fact, the experimental method and proven scientific data – NOT BELIEF.
