Day 458 of Donald at the Bat – Earth Day

Today’s the day we celebrate the Earth,

Our water-covered third rock from a star.

The only place we know that’s given birth

To every form of life we know, so far.

And now we know our planet’s rather small,

For we have pictures from far out in space.

A rather insignificant blue ball

And yet, for us, the most important place.

We think all life began in some warm pool.

Mutation and selection led to man.

Though we admit that several theories duel,

Our scientists will show how life began.

And now we are the stewards of the Earth,

Will we burn down the planet of our birth?
