Donald at the Bat – Day 843, Makin’ Whoopee (parody)

Day 843, Makin’ Whoopee (1) (2)

Another ovum, another sperm,

Another human but just the germ.

It starts erotic, then gets zygotic

From Makin’ Whoopee.

There’s twenty two pairs of autosomes

Plus X and Y type sex chromosomes

Before meiosis leads to zygosis

From Makin’ Whoopee.

Picture a little germ cell.

I know this isn’t news.

Putting it in a nutshell,

Its purpose is to fuse.

So ovulate, then copulate,

And, need I say, ejaculate.

Sperm Casanovas get into ovas

From Makin’ Whoopee.

Then there’s some more migration,

Once eggs are fertilized.

If there’s no implantation,

Nobody gets baptized.

So down the tubules, away we go,

Implant and fashion an embryo.

Nine month’s gestation,

More population,

From Makin Whoopee.

Nine month’s gestation,

More population,

From Makin’ Whoopee.

  1. This is a more scientific version of Makin’ Whoopee, written in 1928 by Walter Donaldson and Gus Kahn for the musical, Whoopee,  and subsequently recorded by Eddie Cantor, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles and many others. There are many chord progressions, depending on which key you sing best.
  2. It’s possible that some may think this appropriate for Mother’s Day.
