Donald at the Bat – Day 671, The American Symphony

Day 671, The American Symphony

The urban and rural divide decides

Which districts are blue, which districts are red.

A difference in thinking clearly divides

The ones who grow wheat from those who bake bread.

“I am independent,” red folks assert.

“We’re stronger together,” so say the blues.

“And take in immigrants.  What can it hurt?”

But immigrants make some reds sing the blues.

We’re all from immigrants; this we should know.

They make hybrid vigor, which keeps us strong.

Plant hybrid seedlings and then watch them grow.

Harvest the bounty.  We’ll reap what we sow.

A thousand tongues singing in harmony,

All races, religions, our symphony.
