Donald at the Bat – Day 507

Day 507

(This may be sung to, “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.) (1)

The Donald saddled up; G sixers all could heave a sigh.

He’s headed west and you won’t find a single, teary eye.

“Farewell, leb’ wohl, adieu, addio;” they all waved goodbye.

“Can you believe that guy?”

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Donald Trump says, “What’s it to ya?

“I make treaties just to screw ya.”

“Can you believe that guy?”

With Donald gone, G sixers can discuss what they will do

On global warming, fossil fuels, Donald’s tariffs, too.

When he’s not there, at least he won’t be pissing in the stew.

What should the G6 do?

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Donald Trump says, ‘What’s it to ya?

“I raise tariffs just to screw ya.”

What should the G6 do?

If G6 kicks the Donald out, then Putin gets his way.

He’s separated Europe from it’s ally, USA.

Can Europe stand alone to keep his Russian troops at bay?

Will Putin get his way?

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Vlad hoped Trump would do it to ya.

Putin’s boy was sent to screw ya.

Will Putin get his way?

Now Trump is heading west to wind up east in Singapore.

He’s conferencing with Kim Jong Un, an alpha to the core.

Trump’s Nobel Prize is on the line; (that’s what this summit’s for.)

Will there be peace or war?

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Will they give the Nobel to ya?

If they don’t, will Trump say, “Screw ya,”

Then go and start a war?

  1. “The Battle Hymn of the Republic,” lyric by Julia Ward Howe, 1861.  Music from the folk hymn, “Canaan’s Happy Shore,” first adapted for “John Brown’s Body,” in praise of the abolitionist, then for Howe’s lyrics.
