Now Donald Trump has normalized the lie,

And lies and Trump are like gin and vermouth.

It’s normal to hear Donald Trump defy

Intelligence and scientific facts,

On which decision-making should rely.

 

Intelligence and scientific facts:

The base on which a prudent leader acts,

But Donald Trump relies upon his gut.

To Donald, charts and graphs are artifacts.

 

Since Donald Trump relies upon his gut,

With his advisers’ noses up his butt,

And loyal senators grant him a pass,

A lie to Trump is like a six inch putt.

 

Since loyal senators gave Trump a pass,

Whatever he does, criminal or crass,

Is only rarely based on what is true

And mostly based on talking out his ass.

 

Trump doesn’t base decisions on what’s true

But, can he get away with what he’ll do,

He’s firing his Inspectors General,

With motives very simple to see through.

 

Trump’s firing his Inspectors General,

Whose job is to expose what’s criminal.

This leaves Trump free to do as he may please,

Which may mean our collective funeral.
