August 10, Don Trumpo Takes the Fifth

 

For all the business contracts over which he ran roughshod,

For falsifying documents, for bank and for tax fraud,

Subpoenas and court orders, he no longer can defy,

Don Trumpo “took the Fifth” today, refused to testify.

 

He knows he can’t be forced to testify against himself

And they’ll be throwing books at him until they’ve cleared the shelf.

He’s said you only take the Fifth when guilty of a crime.

So, what may we infer when Trumpo takes the Fifth this time?

 

Both criminal and civil cases weigh on Trumpo’s mind.

Search warrants have been executed; who knows what they’ll find?

He says that he’s the victim of a “witch hunt” and “Deep State.”

But we’ve seen lots of evidence that he caused his own fate.

Pushed Donald way out on a limb and just picked up a saw.

The Don’s support is weakening, which might mean his new job

Is stamping license plates in prison with his Proud Boy mob.

Don Trumpo might be paying for his life of running cons
