First, Trump shut down the government

And now, he’s feeling lonely.

But he caused this predicament,

His doing and his only.

 

The Democrats won’t talk to him.

The telephone’s not ringing.

And, meanwhile in the interim,

More think he’s not well-meaning.

 

Good workers are not getting paid.

Our government’s a shambles,

For Trump wrecks deals that others made.

To get his way, he gambles.

 

The Donald says he’s good at deals

But, in negotiating,

A good deal makes each party feel

Both are cooperating.

 

But Donald only wants to win

And, in the past, he’s cheated.

For him, it is a grievous sin

To think he’d be defeated.
